Women’s Ministry at First EPC makes strategic use of the woman-to-woman venue for the benefit of the church and its impact on the community. As you participate in women’s groups and gatherings, our goal is to bring authenticity, hope, and the love of Jesus into your life in a way that continually makes you stronger to run the race God has marked out for you. We want to help equip you to be a life-giving influence to those around you. Come on in!

Women's Christmas Tea
December 6, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the MPR
Come and hear three of our members share their testimonies of the saving grace of God in sending Jesus to their rescue. Each one will tie her story to the story of Christmas. It's going to be a special night for women--be sure to bring your friends because we do the tea for our visitors! If you are wondering what Christmas is all about, come and check us out--we will greet you at the door. (Doors open at 6:30.)
Thursday Morning Bible Study
Thursdays, 9:15 - 11:30 a.m.
Our Thursday morning Bible study for women provides an opportunity for you to be encouraged by the gospel and to form relationships with other women as you see what difference the gospel makes in all your spheres of life. Come and be strengthened as a wife, friend, co-worker, mother, and neighbor. Bring your friends and neighbors! This Bible study is for women of all ages and stages of life.
For those moms or grandmas who have young children, we offer a baby nursery and structured, preschool-type classes with play time, singing, time in the gym, and a Bible lesson. For home schooling moms, we have a home school group for children in first grade and above. The Thursday Morning Bible Study meets during the Kent School District school year, from mid-September to mid-May
This year we invite you to join us for a study of Hebrews 11, "The Honor Roll of Faith." Come and explore facets of the Christian faith and be encouraged by the consequences of faith! A typical morning for the women includes a time of singing, a lecture, Bible discussion groups, and prayer. During the summer months, we have park dates and Ladies’ Night Out. We look forward to greeting you!
Wednesday Evening Bible Study
Wednesdays, 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Women's groups designed with busy women in mind are offered on Wednesday evenings. Come and be refreshed in the gospel, be refreshed by the fruit of the gospel, and be refreshed by friendships.
Refresh groups meet October 30 - December 11, and will begin again in January. For the 2013 Fall semester, we will explore the Psalms together. Our service project will be packing Christmas food boxes for families in our community.
Note: Children's programs are also offered on Wednesday nights for children in 1st through 12th grade.
Second Wednesday of the month
10 a.m. - noon
Sarah Ruth Circle is a once-a-month Bible study for women to gather together to accept, befriend, and pray for one another as they grow in trusting Christ and applying the Scriptures to the issues they face. The group of mostly retired women also faithfully serves our community, both inside and outside the church. The Sarah Ruth Circle Bible study runs from September through May. This year, we are studying the book, Seasons of Change, by Georgia Settle.
Tuesdays, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
This fun group encourages women of all ages to express their creativity and enjoy each other’s company. We knit, sew, quilt, scrapbook, cut and share recipes, stamp, and develop friendships. Grab your project from home and drop in this Tuesday night to chat and enjoy a cup of tea in a peaceful atmosphere. Invite your friends and neighbors to come and enjoy the friendship of Christian women.
