FAQ

Q: How do I register?  Online - follow this link, in person on Sunday mornings or at the church office during the week, by mail, or at VBS. Registration is required to attend.

Q:  Is there a fee to register?  No; VBS is free!

Q:  Can I purchase a VBS t-shirt?  Yes, they may be purchased beginning June 10. Shirts are $5 (children’s, youth and adult sizes).

Q:  What security arrangements are there for children?  Elementary children are checked into their classes upon arrival in the Sanctuary for opening each morning, and picked up from classrooms at noon. Preschoolers are checked in directly at their classrooms each day. Parents of preschoolers are issued numbered tags that fit on their keychains. The numbered tag corresponding to the child’s tag is needed to release a child at the end of class. Any parent with special pick up needs should note this on the registration form or notify the classroom teacher in advance.

Q:  Is offering collected?  Yes, offering is collected every day. Offering is optional.

Q:  Who receives the offering and pennies?  Each year a missionary or missions organization is chosen to receive the offering/pennies brought by the children at VBS.

Q:  What is the Thursday Open House, July 12?  Everyone is invited to come at 7:00 pm for a short program in the Sanctuary where children’s classes perform. After the program, families visit children’s classes to see what they’ve done all week and enjoy refreshments.

Q:  What happens on Friday?  We have lots of fun on Friday! As well as the usual activities, we have inflatables in the gym - a bouncer for preschoolers and an obstacle course/slide for elementary kids.

Q:  What about Sunday, July15?  Children who attended VBS and their families are invited to attend the 11:15 worship service where the children will sing.
