Psalm 150:4-6

Worship EnsembleThis group of musicians leads worship weekly with a mix of styles, instrumentation, and voices. It is a gifted group that desires to praise and worship the Lord with all their being and all their abilities and to bring the congregation into true symphony as together we experience and communicate God’s presence, our adoration, and His glory. For more information, please contact the Director of Music Ministries.

"All music should have no other end and aim than the glory of God and the soul’s refreshment."

J.S. Bach

Special MusicWe have occasional opportunities to be a part of music in worship. We encourage those who have these abilities to be a part of our choirs. Occasionally an orchestra or other musical group is gathered for a special piece or event. If you have a musical gift, attend regularly, and would be interested in sharing your talent with the congregation, whether soloing or participating in an ensemble, please contact the Director of Music Ministries (see below).

Take 5

For those that have a musical aptitude or are even still developing their abilities, we host a periodic event that we call “Take 5.” This is a concert showcasing First EPC’s musical talent. This is open to all, whether serving in our music ministry or not.

Take 5 is usually held whenever there is a fifth Sunday in the month. This happens about 4-5 times per year. It takes place after the 11:15 a.m. service, at approximately 12:45 p.m.

It will be announced in the bulletin about a month prior. If you wish to participate, please contact the Director of Music Ministries:

“Sing to him; sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works!”

1 Chronicles 16:9

The purpose of our children’s choir program is to give our children the opportunity to

  • Give praise, honor, and glory to our Lord through music.
  • Proclaim the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ.
  • Serve our church family by providing musical ministry during our worship services.
  • Become better singers and musicians through appropriate musical instruction.

Singing in the children’s choirs is a ministry, perhaps the first one your child will participate in. Like all ministries, the blessings given and received are of lasting spiritual significance.
