Summer Park Day - Mothers’ Ministry hosts this fun time of fellowship for mothers and children.  This week it will be at Chestnut Ridge Park, 9901 S. 203rd St., Kent, at 9:30 - noon on Thursday, July 29.  A complete schedule is available at the Welcome Center.



Father/Daughter Campout will be August 6-8 at Ocean City State Park.  Sign up at the Welcome Center by August 1. Grandfathers/ granddaughters and uncles/nieces are also welcome.



The “Summer Choir” will sing at both services on Sunday, August 8.  Those with an ability to learn and sing choral music, high school age and older are invited to attend a rehearsal on Wednesday, August 4, in the Sanctuary from 7:00-8:00 p.m.



Men of First EPC:  Join us for the August 9 Mariners vs. Oakland game at Safeco Field.  Tickets are $10 and will be available on a first-come-first-served basis through August 7 at the Welcome Center.  Invite your friends or sons for the fun and entertainment as we cheer the M’s on to victory.



Women’s Ministry is offering a Small Group Leader Workshop on August 10 at 7:00 p.m. in the Fireside Room.  Topics to be covered include effective facilitation, prayer in a group setting, living in the light of the gospel, and encouragement in your ministry.  Women who are currently leading a group and women who are interested in developing these skills are encouraged to attend.  (click here for syllabus)



Food Handlers’ Training Class will be offered on Thursday, August 19, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in 1720/30.  This is for any volunteers who would like to work in our church kitchen for Tuesday or Wednesday dinners as well as volunteers for the Young Life Pie Booth at the Puyallup Fair.

Host a VBS in Your Home for Your Neighbors and Friends This Summer!  Brochures on Backyard VBS are available at the Welcome Center.  If you need more information, call the church office.



Keep Saving Those Pennies!  The annual VBS Penny Drive will take place in the Intergenerational Sunday School class on August 8 and 15.  This year’s competition will include children, teens, and adults.  Pennies will go to our VBS missionaries, Jesse and Sarah Dempsen.  We also need clean, one gallon, plastic milk jugs to hold the pennies when collected.  These may be left in the Resource Room anytime.  Thank you!
