What is the EPC?

Sarah Ruth Circle will meet Wednesday, March 10, at 10:00 a.m. in the Fireside Room.   We have refreshments and fellowship and then a Bible study led by Jerrie Ramsay.  We have been pleased to add two or three new members in the last few months and would be happy to add you, too, if you would like a morning Bible study group. Our current study is Philippians, Lesson 5.

Choir Exchange Concert:  Everyone is invited to this special concert hosted by the Sanctuary and Crossroads Choirs.  They will be welcoming the Kentridge High School Choir and the Rex Putman High School Choir from Milwaukee, Oregon, on Thursday, March 11, at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

Student Discovery Class:  Junior and senior high students are invited to attend on Saturday, March 13, to learn about our beliefs and what membership entails.  Class runs from 8:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.  If you would like to attend, write “Discovery Class” on the Information/Prayer Card with your name, phone, and e-mail

March Missions Madness:  Join us on Sunday evening, March 14, at 6:00 p.m. Senior Pastor Tommy Allen will be sharing about his trip to Ethiopia, Jesse and Sarah will share their plans to serve at the Yakama Indian Reservation, and we will hear about the mission trip our students will be taking to Washington, D.C., this summer.  If you can, please bring a dozen cookies for refreshments after the presentations.

Primetimers’ Event:  Join us on Thursday, March 18, at 7:30 p.m. at the Carco Theater to hear the Renton City Band in concert.  Sign up next Sunday, March 14, at the Welcome Center.  Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for students under 18 and seniors over 50.  No reserved seating makes carpooling recommended. Meet at the church at 6:45 p.m.

Wonderful Wednesday Dinners:  There are only five more dinners this school year!  Plan to attend soon so you don’t miss out on the fun and opportunity to enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal with old and new friends, served family style from 5:15-6:00 p.m. (plus “Snaps and Claps” with Pastor Tommy).  Your first meal is “on the house!”  Sign up on the Information/Prayer Card and place it in the offering plate or call the church office, 253/859-8998, by 9:00 a.m. on Monday.

“The Love Within:” Invite your friends, family, and neighbors to join us for an evening of laughter, sorrow, and reconciliation on Friday, March 19, at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.  This play is a dramatic portrayal of God’s grace in modern times.

Interested in Playing Co-ed Softball in a Church League? Practices are on Sunday afternoons at 2:00 p.m. Games will be played on Friday evenings May through mid-July at Renton softball fields.

Primetimers Event:  Join us on Thursday, March 18, at 7:30 p.m. at the Carco Theater to hear the Renton City Band in concert.  Sign up the next two Sundays, March 7 and 14, at the Welcome Center.  Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for students under 18 and seniors over 50.

Friendly Faces:  We need friendly faces to join our team as we welcome, greet, and provide information for our guests, friends, and members inside and outside our building.  Training will be provided.  If you are interested or need more information, contact Mike Gillespie or Dale Smith.

March Communion will be during morning worship services on Sunday, March 14.
